The Kwara State Branch had donated Books to Borstal Training Institution, (one of the 3 federal government Juvenile correctional institutions in Nigeria) in Ganmo, Ilorin. The Institution received instructional materials on various subjects, past questions on JAMB, WAEC and literature text books donation by the National Library of Nigeria to promote reading culture, academic performance and use of library among the students. The items donated comprises 58 titles in line with the request list sent by the institution, which includes general reading, textbooks for JSS and SSS on different subjects, the holy Bible and the Holy Quran. Mrs O.K Olani, the Head of Branch of the National Library of Nigeria Kwara State stated that the National Librarian reiterated that functional literacy can only be achieved by making available reading materials.
