The team from the NBRP FCT chapter led by their Coordinator Chief Loye Olwookere had on Thursday 14th March 2024 paid a courtesy visit to the National Librarian/CEO in her Office, Corporate Headquarters, Abuja.
The Coordinator NBRP FCT chapter chief Loye Olwookere during his opening remarks stated that the group is out for the promotion of reading culture particularly the FCT. That they are bided for Abuja Book City 2025.It is a project the NBRP have initiated and want to collaborate with the National Library of Nigeria. The project will promote reading culture ,they want the National Library to be at the forefront of this project. According to Olowookere “book is the main thing that brings people together”.
Receiving the team, National Librarian/CEO Prof.Chinwe V.Anunobi appreciated the team from the NBRP for the visit. She expressed her interest in the project and assured them of NLN's readiness to collaborate with NBRP.
Anunobi described it as a laudable project.
The Secretary,Mr Chido Onumah thanked the NL for her response and promised to kick start immediately by forming committees.
