The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, His Excellency, Senator (Dr) Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON has commended the National Librarian/CEO stating that her passion for quality library services is laudable and commendable. The Executive Governor stated this when the latter paid him a courtesy visit in his office to appreciate him for his magnanimity in hosting and taking full sponsorship of the just concluded conference of the National Librarian with the Board Chairmen and Directors of public libraries held in the state. The Governor who is already doing marvelously well in the area of education pledged his unalloyed support to the state library board to promote quality library services in the state in particular and in the country in general.
Meanwhile, the National Librarian used the opportunity to discuss further areas of collaboration with the state government to ensure that libraries steadily provide adequate information resources for the increasing populace of our dear country.
The National Librarian was accompanied by Mrs Olabimpe Olani, the Director of the Public Services Department NLN, Mr. Franklin Giwa, the Chairman of the state library boards, and Mr. Nazip Abubakar, the Deputy State Librarian, Bauchi.
Also present during the visit was the Honourable Commissioner of Education in the state, Dr. Jamila Mohammed and other executive officers of the state.
