Directors Inspect CALIM Ahead of Commencement of Academic Activities

The Management of the National Library of Nigeria on Friday 29th October, 2021 converged at the Centre for Advanced Library and Information Management, CALIM, Enugu on a facility Inspection to ascertain the level of work done, while looking forward for the official take off of the Centre as a Diploma awarding Institution, following the approval of National Board for Technical Education granted to the National Library of Nigeria to award Diploma certificate in Library and Information Science. Led by the Director, Public Services Department Dr. Mrs Oluchi Kalu, they were received on arrival by a Senior Librarian Mrs Kelechi Onyecherelam, and Admin Officer 1 Mrs Sarah Imemesi. The duo took the Directors round the various sections of the facility, including the Computer Base Test Center, the library, the cataloguing workshop, the conference hall of 100 sitting capacity and the students lounge where students would await for commencement of examination. It would be recalled that the National Librarian/CEO Professor Chinwe V. Anonubi had equally on Tuesday 26th October, 2021 visited CALIM for inspection, in preparation for the takeoff of the diploma program by the Centre, as recently approved by the National Board for Technical Education, NBTE.
